Workshop Session-Ontake Warm Bamboo – Back Shu Treatment and Meridian


Oran Kivity
Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion methods

Oran Kivity is an acupuncturist, teacher, and author with over 30 years of clinical experience. He has pioneered the use of Ontake Warm Bamboo moxibustion, combining traditional methods with modern insights from Manaka’s meridian theory. Oran is the author of Moxa in Motion with the Ontake Method and Hirata Zone Therapy with the Ontake Method and teaches internationally, helping practitioners integrate Ontake into their clinical work with confidence and precision.

Overview of Workshop Session: Ontake Warm Bamboo is a versatile and highly effective moxibustion method that is easy to learn and safe to apply. This workshop will give participants practical tools to integrate into their clinical practice immediately.
This three-hour hands-on workshop introduces the fundamentals of Ontake Warm Bamboo moxibustion for treating the back and balancing the back shu points. Participants will learn how to load and light Ontake correctly, apply rhythmic tapping and rolling techniques, and work with Manaka’s meridian frequencies to regulate the body’s energetic balance.
